Bow tie pasta always makes me think of my grandmother because she used to make it all of the time with kasha. I love this sturdy pasta; it cooks perfectly with the correct amount of time per the instructions and is consistent with texture and taste. I personally love the hint of corn and this pasta is so much more flavorful than typical flour pasta. I would highly recommend this product to anyone with or without a gluten free diet because it is absolutely delicious and even when reheated doesn't lose its taste or consistency. Top rated for me.
I have not been happy with any of the other brands of gluten-free pasta until I tried Le Veneziane because the texture and taste were definitely different from regular wheat pasta. Although most of the dishes I use it to make are Italian, I have to say, these bow ties are perfect for kashe-varnitchkies too.
While I really like Le Veneziane's pasta generally & find it to be by far the best GF pasta I've had in the past decade since I was diagnosed - I have a problem with the bow-tie version. I think that mainly due to the varying degree of thickness that results from the shape, I have found it nearly impossible to get a reliable consistency throughout the pasta. If it is perfectly al dente in the middle, the edges are mushy & vice a versa. But if you have your heart set on bow-tie pasta, this is probably your best option. Highly recommend their fettuccine!
This pasta (La Veneziane) is the best GF pasta I've come across. Tasty and holds up really well (i.e., doesn't get mushy and crumble to goo). They are great plain with butter but also in a casserole or heartier dish (they hold up, unlike a lot of GF pasta). I love these bowties especially, but all the kinds are good.
I would really, really, really like to like this because I miss my Farfalle, but I don't get it. To me, Le Veneziane just tastes like pure corn. The texture might be good, but that taste throws me off too much. My mom is NCGI as well and she loves it.
