We love all the pastas from Conte's. It is so nice to find quality gluten free pastas, and I will continue to buy them. I would totally recommend these to anyone who needs to be on a gluten-free diet.
When I had to start eating GF, pasta was one thing I missed the most, and it took me a long time to find a brand that matched my particular taste. As for stuffed pasta, I never thought I'd be able to have it again - then, I found Conte's. First, I was introduced to their Ravioli, and after that I was in love. When I learned they made other products, I was immediately interested. It was only this year, however, that I discovered that a Tortellini was available. I'm funny about the way I eat my tortellni, I suppose. I don't eat it in the 'traditional' way. Instead, I prefer to cook it in broth, or use it in creative recipes. This product hasn't disappointed me yet. I still have to try it in a cold salad type dish, but I look forward to the day I do. The only minor complaint I have is that it takes 2 bags to make up what a 'normal' bag in a standard recipe calls for, and that can get a bit expensive, but the taste more than makes up for it. I always make sure this is on my list when I place my orders!
You don't know how excited I was to see that Conte's (a brand I was already familiar with for their Ravioli) made a GF version of cheese tortellini. That was another of many foods on a list of things I've long since missed since going gluten free. Just like with their other products, this did not disappoint. Instead of making it in a traditional sauce, I boiled the tortellini in chicken broth and served it that way, topped with parmesan crisps. On another occasion, I used it as a substitute in a one pan skillet recipe that called for regular cheese tortellini. My only complaint is that for the recipe, I had to use two packages of the GF version to equal one package of the 'regular'. Sometimes the package sizes seem awfully small.
Love these both as an entree (with Creamy Vodka Tomato sauce) and as a side with GF chicken parm. Conte's pastas are the best. Being of Italian descent, and one who made her own pasta pre hubby's Celiac diagnosis, I heartily endorse all the Conte GF Pastas.
