Navy beans are small, creamy-white beans with a mild flavor and dense, smooth exture. A welcome and healthy addition to a variety of dishes, they provide protein, fiber, and minerals.
Directions: Sort and rinse. Cover with water and soak overnight. Drain. Bring 3 cups water and 1 cup beans to boil, reduce, and simmer 1-2 hours, or until tender. Drain and serve.
Add to soups, stews, casseroles, and salads
Common in baked beans and minestrone soup
Puree and use to thicken sauces and gravies
