American Native Pecans are grown in the fertile river-bottom soils of Missouri. Although smaller than southern varieties, they are preferred by many for their sweeter flavor and creamier texture.
To Toast: Spread nuts in single layer on baking sheet. Toast at 350°, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes, or until fragrant.
Sprinkle over yogurt, oatmeal or fruit salads
Make quick candied pecans by tossing with maple sugar while still warm from toasting.
Add to roasted vegetables, stuffings, and pilafs
