OMG I didn't think it was possible to achieve the texture of real croissants gluten free, but here it is. Note: it says "gluten free wheat flour" in the ingredient list. I'm not sure how that was achieved, but Schar has been doing GF for a long time, and I'm assuming that they figured it out somehow. I suppose that's *how* they got that texture. This *will* be reordered, I guarantee. I don't eat bread very often, even GF bread, but this is more than "bread"...it's love-on-a-plate.
I am so glad I found these. My daughter loves them. They are delicious and have nice texture. She has missed croissants and these were a great find.
Light, Flaky and yet still holds together after baking and slicing in half. Prepared via baking as package instructions and have also sliced and toasted in the toaster. So nice with a little jam and tea or with a little chicken or tuna salad. 10 out of 10 for great flavor and texture.
Oh yeah baby!!! Wish there were more per package. BUT, what a treat to have a gluten free croissant! Thanks!
I was so incredibly impressed by the flaky texture of these. They really are just like I remember regular croissants being, and since croissants were my absolute favorite bread/pastry before I was diagnosed with Celiac, I was putting all my hope in these for a good substitute. They definitely did not disappoint!
