These rolls have long been a go-to favorite of mine, so I was beyond excited to be able to buy them here! They always taste fresh, and are very soft. Sometimes I buy several packages and keep them in the freezer so I always have plenty on hand. (although their shelf life is very good). They are advertised as parbaked, and it is recommended that you heat them before eating, but I have had no trouble eating them directly from the package, although they are amazing warmed up, too! I highly recommend this and other Schar products!
My favorite. Pop in toaster oven and use however you like. They also make the best hamburger bun. I do wish they made them a like bigger though.
I love all the Schar products, but these sandwich rolls are amazing. My family members are not on a gluten free diet, but they love these rolls too. The texture is soft inside with a slightly crunchy exterior. They are great right out of the bag or lightly toasted. And, just the right size for sandwiches.
I was looking for a perfect roll to use for sandwiches, or just toast up with some butter, and these ciabatta rolls are perfect! I served these to a family member who isn't on a gluten free diet, and they could not tell that these rolls were gluten free. Love all of the Schar products!
Schar buns of all kinds taste pretty good to me when toasted, but they go stale or moldy within a few days of opening the package - this is my only problem with their breads. They can have a strange sandyness to them at times and they get a weird soggyness in the package sometimes too, which might be from the humidity, I can't tell... The ciabatta rolls are supposed to be parbaked, but I just microwaved them or toasted them and they always seemed to be fully cooked. I like the texture of these slightly more than their other buns.
